Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (1 Corinthians 1:20)

 

Do not deceive yourselves. If anyone of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. (1 Corinthians 3:18)

 

The man who thinks he knows something foes not yet know as he ought to know. (1 Corinthians 8:2)

 

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. (Isaiah 5:21)

 

The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile. (1 Corinthians 3:20)
