Why are you downcast, 0 my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. (Psalm 42:5)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ form the dead. (1 Peter 1:3)

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)

Find rest, 0 my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. (Psalm 62:5)

Sustain me according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed. (Psalm 119:116)

May your unfailing love rest upon us, 0 LORD, even as we put our hope in you. (Psalm 33:22)

For you have been my hope, 0 Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth. (Psalm 71:5)

In your name I will hope, for your name is good. (Psalm 52:9)

No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame. (Psalm 25:3)

You are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm 25:5)

You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, 0 God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas. (Psalm 65:5)

Those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. (Psalm 37:9)

But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. (Romans 8:24-25)

I have put my hope in your word. (Psalm 119:74)

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4)

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. (Ephesians 1:18-19)

There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to one hope when you were called--one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (Ephesians 4:4-6)

Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. (2 Corinthians 3:12)

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. (1 Peter 3:15-16)

But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. (Psalm 71:14)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
