He
who finds a wife finds what is
good and receives favor from the
LORD. (Proverbs 18:22)
Husbands,
love your wives, just as Christ
loved the church and gave
himself up for her to make her
holy. (Ephesians 5:25-26)
For
the husband is the head of the
wife as Christ is the head of
the church, his body, of which
he is the Savior. (Ephesians
5:23)
Husbands,
in the same way be considerate
as you live with your wives, and
treat them with respect as the
weaker partner and as heirs with
you of the gracious gift of
life, so that nothing will
hinder your prayers. (1 Peter
3:7)
Husbands,
love your wives and do not be
harsh with them. (Colossians
3:19)
Each
one of you also must love his
wife as he loves himself, and
the wife must respect her
husband. (Ephesians 5:33)
Husbands
ought to love their wives as
their own bodies. He who loves
his wife loves himself.
(Ephesians 5:28)
After
all, no one ever hated his own
body, but he feeds and cares for
it, just as Christ does the
church. (Ephesians 5:29)
Under
three things the earth trembles,
under four it cannot bear up: a
servant who becomes king, a fool
who is full of food, an unloved
woman who is married, and a
maidservant who displaces her
mistress. (Proverbs 30:21-23)
Your
wife will be like a fruitful
vine within your house; your
sons will be like olive shoots
around your table. Thus is the
man blessed who fears the LORD.
(Psalm 128:3-4)
