Keep
your lives free from the love of
money and be content with what
you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."
(Hebrews 13:5)
Some
people, eager for money, have
wandered from the faith and
pierced themselves with many
griefs. (1 Timothy 6:10)
People
who want to get rich fall into
temptation and a trap and into
many foolish and harmful desires
that plunge men into ruin and
destruction. (1
Timothy 6:9)
For
the love of money is a root of
all kinds of evil. (1 Timothy
6:10)
The
wealth of the rich is their
fortified city; they imagine it
an unscalable wall. (Proverbs
18:11)
You
say, 'I am rich; I have acquired
wealth and do not need a
thing." But you do not
realize that you are wretched,
pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
(Revelation 3:17)
Whoever
loves money never has money
enough; whoever loves wealth is
never satisfied with his income.
This too is meaningless.
(Ecclesiastes 5:10)
Man
is a mere phantom as he goes to
and fro: He bustles about, but
only in vain; he heaps up
wealth, not knowing who will get
it. (Psalm 39:6)
For
the sun rises with scorching
heat and withers the plant; its
blossom falls and its beauty is
destroyed. In the same way, the
rich man will fade away even
while he goes about his
business. (James 1:11)
How
hard it is for the rich to enter
the kingdom of God! (Mark
10:23)
It
is easier for a camel to go
through the eye of a needle than
for a rich man to enter the
kingdom of God. (Mark 10:25)
Now
listen, you rich people, weep
and wail because of the misery
that is coming upon you ... You
have lived on earth in luxury
and self-indulgence.
(James 5:1-5)
No
servant can serve two masters.
Either he will hate the one and
love the other, or he will be
devoted to the one and despise
the other. You cannot serve both
God and Money.
(Luke 16:13)
